Yesterday was a very long day but we made it, without incident, to Accra. The airport here was much different than those we have been through on this trip. Not the hi-tech facilities we've seen but much more what one would expect from a developing nation. Professor Brown was right when he said it was in the nature of the Ghanaian people to be very helpful, cheery, and forgiving of our incorrect pronunciations. They were just happy that we are even trying to speak the language.
The hotel is very nice. The people make it even better. One tie to Bloomington is that the hotel comes equipped with an Otis elevator. The beds are very interesting. Can you say "shin high"?
We are about to head out to Kwame National Park. We will blog more later today.
